Maybe its just the 90s east coast hiphop head inside of me (hiphop will NEVER be able to recapture the 90s...Just like Soul music with never be able to recapture the 60s/70s) but I could care less about epic sounding beats, melodies and catchy hooks.
I just want some simple gutta shyt that helps put emphasis on Nas's profound lyrics, not something that drowns it out.

A 13 track LP with Loco Motive type tracks would probably knock Illmatic off the throne as Nas's best album in my eyes
