Most games are still releasing a past gen and current gen version. Series S can play current gen games but only capable of last gen graphics, so essentially if you have an X-box One already, you have a series S. Its a lateral upgrade. No point in spending the money until they start making a bunch of next gen exclusive titles

Xbox is in 3rd for “revenue” cause Series S is the cheapest console out and a significant portion of “series” sales are going to the S.

This gen is already a lot more competitive than in the past.
