I think I know the issue with DC movies compared to marvel

Yeah true and before Wonder Woman each film was one color
The marvel films really show the world each character inhabits and how different they are from each other so when they collide it’s like how are they going to do this.
Batman vs Superman is the biggest offender of this
Superman should not be gray
Metropolis should not be gray
They shouldn’t be one river away from each other
like it’s jersey and New York City
It should be more like New York and Cali

But two movies made them change.

Deadpool
Those movies brought PG and Rated R humor. And so they dropped Suicide Squad. Then the WB execs started to meddle and interfere in the middle of and post production.
Marvel movies have humor but the difference is that it’s more organic and relatable. Which is why even though you know it’s going to be there, you embrace some of it and overlook the rest because, Marvel makes good movies and know how of tell a story
