I still dont get on how Apollo Brown makes beats with Cool Edit.

I used to do this. I would copy and paste drums into a wav and basically do it like construction.

Drum loop or drum hits?

hits Open like 5 cool edits with each sound i wanted and a master for the song i was making. Copy and paste the hits into place matching up the wavs perfectly. When they sounded off i edited the sample until it fit on time. Just tapped my finger on the desk to get the timing of the beat accurate. This was 1998 though.

dunno but atleast i dont feel bad about still prefering cool edit for some things now.......
LOL

it looks like he really laid everything down on something else and then dumped the horns loop on one track the drum loop on next track and synced/placed in the sample where he wanted on separate tracks which is not hard to do in cool edit if you have a beat already.......but still impressive
