To be fair storyline wise Casino Royale was supposed to be Bond's first mission meaning technically Vesper was his first Bond girl so yeah was sprung. After her betrayal he later grew into the cold hearted hard on hoes Sean Conery bond that was slapping hoes and taking the puss from p*ssy Galore whether she like it or not

She didn't really betray him. When they snatched her to lure Bond and he got caught, she agreed to give them the money in exchange for Bond's life. It's why Mr. White comes through and kills Le Chiffre, as Le Chiffre is not longer necessary now that White, and Quantom, have the money. She made a deal and saved the brehs life.

He was sharing that girl though. But then in Quantom it turns out that she was being played from the get-go, with the boyfriend she had that got kidnapped by Quantom actually bein a Quantom agent
