Why should I care if somebody "negged" me...?

I see in my profile I have -80 reputation points...What does this mean...?

Will I be stopped from participating in the forum if I reach a certain number...?

I never understood this system...Please explain it to me...

there should actually be a consequence when you reach a certain amount of neg reps. but really, the rep system means nothing without actual action....

In my "Alerts" I get messages like "so and so took 10 reputations points with the following message 'take that sucker'"

And it is a mystery to me...I don't know how to respond to such messages, because the wholes system has no meaning or significance for me...

Should I be more worried, and conform, and start brown nosing and sucking e-penis just be "accepted" and continue participating in the forum...

Do we have a "help" function that explains what this "neg" system is all about...People who "neg" are just "nags" to me...

I see them as the kind of people who would snitch on you, if you ever had the misfortune of getting caught during a caper with them...

But why should you be punished because some overly sensitive fcuk boy keeps "nagging" ooops! "negging" you because you share a different opinion...?

I think it is fair to "neg" if somebody is spamming...For example, the characters who keep going in threads making these "allah is great" responses should be "negged" because they don't even contribute to the discussion...

It is also fair to "neg" people who post penis/vagina pictures and other "sick" pictures with no warning or spoilers...

But "negging" for difference of opinion, that defeats the whole purpose of having a public and international forum...

Who are not all Americans, some of us grew up in non-Western societies, so we have differing perspectives...It is stupid to "neg" just because you don't like what you reading...In which bytchh asss country do they do that at...?

But if you disagree, why dont respond by saying "I disagree because of 1 2 and 3" If that's too much to do, then why even participate...Just ignore the entire thread...
