I Really Believe a Jay-Z x Pharrell Williams CD would've been way better than kanye

Its my opinion but I think Pharrell works with Jay on a greater scale, and the work has been really good, especially "lately" (Maybe without Goku?)

I also like pharrell's crooning. So an album with him NOT rhyming, and including a hook or bridge here & there would have really been the "It" album watch the throne or Best of Both Worlds should have been.


Of course there are many examples of each, and too many to list & compare, But what you think?

Actually, his beats have gotten a bit darker as time went by. Im not sure if the dog-eater is still behind the boards, but it doesn't seem so, and maybe he was the one incorporating all those spaceship sounds and shyt. Trust me, Pharrell crooning on dark beats, and Jay-Z rhyming on slimmed down production is some dope shyt.

Pharrell is too all over the place, and too hit or miss. Say what you want about Chad, but some of the best work has come with both of them behind the boards.

And Im talking beats and melodies/bridges like that of "Nightmares" from the Clipse, shyt like "Life Change" "door man".....None of that pop shyt.

But the pop with Jay-Z can work, and its been proven already.

I don't know about this. I mean, look at all the dope Kanye and Jay cooked up together pre-BP3 in comparison to BP3. BP3 contains the two worst Jay/Kanye songs ("Haters" and "Young Forever").

The same with Pharrell. Although they have classics together, a whole album could be a mixed bag that includes some of the worst songs they have done together.
