I need someone familiar with eagles or birds to come in here real quick ..

So, a few years ago I visited China (BeiJing), my lil brother was bored so I took him to a zoo.

I remember seeing a eagle there, I remember it being a bit weird cuz it had more elongated and thicker legs, covered in feathers. You can't see it when it is flying cuz it is tucked under, but when it stands it looks like it is walking on limbs ... and I am pretty sure I recall seeing the word "Griffin" or "Griffith etc Eagle" on the description.

I know it sounds stupid as fukk but this wasn't that long ago, this was like in '08. The other day I bought it up and my friend thinks I imagined this shyt after reading about Griffins or somethin'. I was determined to prove him wrong so I been googling this shyt and I can't find it

Am I really trippin'? Maybe it wasn't an eagle and I just mistaken it to be? This is bothering me lol, I can't have imagined the whole thing.

YES! It looked similar to that

It (the "legs") was brown tho, and super feathery (like to the point where it almost looked like hair if you weren't looking carefully)

I know what a griffin is, thats why I was like when the homies were clownin' me for thinking I saw a mystical creature
