Allright so I decided to purchase two Aveeno products for my oily face, a foaming cleanser and a moisturizer, but I'm confused as to how to use them.

Do I need to apply the moisturizer after I clean my face? Why would I apply the moisturizer in the morning tho if I'm going to jump in the shower right after? How exactly do you go about applying the cleanser and moisturizer? And you do that twice a day morning and night right?

Not a girl but I went through the same thing a year ago. Had a girl I was with at the time help me out. She was actually quite happy that I decided to do things like that. I ended up going with some Neutrogena stuff that I can't really remember the name of but I know that my face felt different once I started doing it. Just like

There's also a hell of a lot of research you can do that I ended up doing even though I was getting help. I was all over GQ and Esquire and shyt like that. Not really homo, just a part of being an adult. Which is why I think that girl was happy to help me.

My routine:

clean body, and then face last...mosturize face and body in the morning

and at night do both again

If you want to be more complex you can throw in an exfoliator once or twice a week depending on how oily your skin is...if you do its exfoliate, lightly clean, and then mosturize

I clean/ moisturize my face and body with different things

face- clean with african black soap, and moisturize with aveeno daily mosturizer and a tiny bit of shea butter.

body- clean with nubian heritage mango butter soap, and moisturize body with gold bond softening lotion and some more shea butter.

I use a face pad to clean and exfoliate at the same time, and a hand loofa to do the same to my body along with a wash cloth

Black Soap and Shea Butter, it's cheap and does exactly what you're looking for. Apply the moisturizer after the shower. Apply the cleanser first though. Once in the morning and once at night. Drink a lot of water, and personally I started using Lemon Juice spot treatment for my small spots and that works good. Getting a facial at your local spa once a month doesn't hurt if you have the money.

Since you suffer from oily skin like myself you don't need a moisturizer. They only create more oil. Use Neutrogena ultra sheer sunblock instead of a moisturizer.

@Chill gave some good advice. But you also need an astringent/toner, try some witch hazel, right after you cleanse your face. You might also benefit from a facial brush, it'll help exfoliate your skin even better.

I'd apply it after the shower to keep it simple, and make sure you wash with warm water to open the pores and rinse with cold water to tighten them.
