I was just listing the series I caught late and the coli recommended
I need more hidden gems
Hmm? One hidden gem that I've not seen talked about a lot (On The Coli or elsewhere) is this English show :
BLACK MIRROR
This is an anthology show...only 6 episodes, but they are an hour long (The first episode is actually like an hour and a half movie). The first season is must watch.
Each episode deals with the relationship between technology, media, and modern society in some fashion....they all give you a lot to chew on, mainly in a satirical way. The first episode of season 1 which I brought up earlier is....man, you just have to see it. It's sooooo ridiculous, but they actually make it work and it *almost* feels like it could happen in real life.
Only thing is that, I'm pretty sure the only way you're gonna see this is if you pirate. Honestly, if you're really interested, I have it downloaded and would be willing to hook up if you wanted. I can't stress enough how much there is to chew on in this show, even if you don't really *like* the episodes, you're left contemplating on the ideas that they introduce.
Another English show that I haven't seen talked about on this forum is
ORPHAN BLACK which is on BBC America.
It looks like one of those cheesy 90's syfy shows at first glance...but it's actually really well done. Interesting scenario which leads to a GREAT performance by the lead actress. Definitely one of those "page turner" type of shows where you just want the next episode. It's only a season in so far but there are 10 hour long episodes to hold you over.
