I was away from home and missed like the era when Bobby Lashley and Edge were on top. That's why I was kind of surprised when Edge was being touted as a big deal (in later years though I saw why he earned his spot). I feel like I missed a lot of WCW guys in WWE also. I've seen a lot of what I missed since then, but what is some of the best stuff I missed.

*I did watch some PPVs during this time, but wasn't really watching every week like I did before, and am doing now.

If we're talking WWE, no. WWE was hot garbage from circa 2004-2011. I stopped watching this trash during that time period.

I started watching TNA in '07 (wish I'd known about it sooner). TNA from '07-'09 was :blessed:.

Then Bischoff and Hogan came :gucci:

Then I started watching WWE again circa 2011. The Rock, a.k.a. The GOAT, returned. The Miz was champ and defeated Cena at Wrestlemania. It's crazy that the internet is just now appreciating Miz after shytting on him nonstop for years. He has always been GOAT on the mic, and passable in the ring.

The moral of the story is, you weren't missing anything in that terrible era of WWE. TBH, they're headed down that same path now. I hate "brand splits" and a million different fukking titles. No belt is worth anything, and the same feuds happen over and over again. I haven't been watching the weekly programming like that recently. Hell, I'm barely interested in the PPVs, outside of the majors (WM, RR, SS).

The WWE was damn near 1995 levels of bad between 2004-2012. I always break it up into 2 parts, the trash half (chunks of 04-08), and the tame watered down generic half (09-12). The exceptions are stuff involving Edge, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Eddie, Benoit, HBK (non DX related), and a handful of others. Smackdown in 2008 was great, as well as HBK/Jericho's feud. Batista vs Taker was a good feud as well. I'll come back for some stuff when I get the chance. Standout stuff from that period is few and far between, but the bad/wack stuff is alarming.

Completely looked over that you said from late 02, which in that cause, you missed great stuff from Smackdown. Edge & Rey teaming, Angle vs Rey from NWO 2002, Benoit and Angle teaming, Los Guerreros, Eddie vs Edge's 02 Ladder match, Matt Hardy V1 (his match with Chris Benoit during the US title tourney was really good, though I always thought it was longer), Angle and Brock feuding, the Vengeance 2003 PPV in general, Kidman's slow turn in 2004, Dawn Marie trying to seduce Torrie Wilson (a terrible feud, but that hotel segment was :whew:), and other stuff.

On the Raw side, Booker T vs Goldust was very entertaining and the build up to them winning the titles was great, but this was right after KKKaitch basically told Booker T "people like you" don't deserve World title opportunities and Pedigree'd him at WM. Goldberg came through wrecking shyt, the Rock made him look as good as he possibly could, but it was still hard for the fans to boo him. Evolution was a cool ass stable initially until you realized it was just HHH's attempt at a Four Horseman stable with his Ric Flair stanning. Still provided great moments, but bad ones too. HHH and Scott Steiner's feud was fukking awful, but entertaining for all the wrong reasons. Didn't even blame HHH for the two embarrassing matches in 03 he had with Scott Steiner, cause Steiner was so damn roided up yet never focused on cardio. Don't remember if it was RR 2003 or the PPV after that, but he was looking so bad that the crowd got behind HHH, the 100% heel at the time. Batista had one of the best slow burn turns ever, and Orton was a great cocky heel, then destroyed everything they built up in him by turning him face. Kane raped Lita and forced her to marry him, yet somehow he was a face cause of Snitsky. Matt Hardy and Edge had a dope blood feud in 2005, but Matt killed himself off after this promo embarrassing promo, which made you want to pull for Edge instead of him. The White Boy Challenge" stuff with Rodney Mack was entertaining, even though Rodney Mack wasn't all that in the ring. RVD hadn't gotten bloated, washed and lazy yet, so he was still having good matches on both Raw and SD (teaming with Kane, then feuding with Kane, and teaming with Rey Mysterio). Shelton was coming up in 04 after he split with Haas, had good matches with Orton, Jericho, Christian, and RVD. HBK was having good matches with everybody pretty much from 02-08, other than JBL in 07 (?). I know I'm all over the place writing this, but random stuff is popping in my head, I'm at a desk and I have time :pachaha:

Thanks Playas Eyez, it was more from Late 2005-2008 that I missed, but thanks for pointing out some highlights that I've forgotten.
