i know this is a WWF-centric forum but the best pre-shows were when WCW Pro and WCW Main Event used to air on sunday evenings and were turned into pre-shows on PPV nights in the mid-90s.

real pre-show cards, like you see nowadays with boxing & UFC.

those WWF shows were cool, but in comparison, they were just 45 minutes of yappin with a throwaway match at the end of the hour.
