Swagger's a very good wrestler. I don't know why they've never pushed him seriously. :

Yeah, no clue why they fukked around with him so much, he was killing it back in ECW as well, he's always been at least solid in the ring and can have great matches with the right opponent, Christian, Mysterio, Finlay etc. He has a somewhat different style to the usual WWE cookie cutter deal so I find it fun to watch him, It's probably too quick to put him in for the title but fukk it, they are giving him a chance at least. Can't argue with how they've booked him so far, he's got that killer push and, kayfabe, deserves the shot. The Del Rio match should be excellent. I'm sure the build will have some moments though.

zeb gonna shyt on del rio somethin vicious i cant wait its gonna be so vulgar but it's what del rio needs. a big issue with the company is the lack of foils. you don't have your steve austin/corporate rock or even your jeff hardy/cm punk type rivalries where there is a built in dislike for each other by basic principles. del rio vs. the tea party representative could only be better if del rio is pushed even further for being hardworking and attaining his riches the "american" way. shyts gonna go hard and itll be the first time i'm legitimately interested in a del rio feud. all the shades of gray characters are cool for guys that are made, but to get people legitimately invested, particularly in two lukewarm guys like del rio and swagger, you need something polarizing to allow for people to take sides. this will be a great feud if done right.

I would've had Cesaro drop the belt to Swagger and swagger fued with del rio. Elevate Cesaro, gives ADR and Swagger a meaningful fued.

I could definitely see that if Cesaro was somehow face. Might've even been cool to bring Swagger back as a patriotic face against Cesaro shytting on him for being a non-American holding the title and slowly plant those seeds of bigotry fukkery while he was holding the US title before finally going after Del Rio. I'm definitely with the contingent of slowly easing Swagger into the picture because I think this has a lot of promise but I definitely see why they went with this if the plan was to keep the title on Del Rio. A slow build racist Swagger vs. Del Rio leading to a SummerSlam match in Cali?
