I live in Maryland, what can Trump do to me day to day?

If you live in a democratic state...states rights as well, ha. Trump can't affect the day to day of democratic states. Your local officials causing most of your issues and/or helping you out. The district attorney determines if they go after crimes hence weed and prostitution getting decriminalized during pandemic.

Trump not stopping the long overdue b-more redline subway, it was always a local/state issue for decades.

Just hunker down in the right states and areas for now. Even Larry Hogan couldn't go full Republican in Maryland at any point.

fleeing to blue states makes some sense but also makes it less likely we ever win elections again because red will sweep the other nations

I live in MD too, and I’m hoping that’ll be enough to get me past the worst of this administration.

But Trump’s economic plan is going to fukk us all. And considering that Trump is going to be ruling with both a GOP-controlled Congress and SCOTUS, there’s no check on what he can do. We will feel it in MD, I believe. Just hope it’s not as bad as it will be elsewhere.

How much does federal funding affect day to day? That's the major card of control.

States have national guards...states rights apply to the left of Republicans as well. Never forget that Democrats can push back at the federal government as well.

Look at the district judges in your area Trump appoints. Look at the supreme court rulings. As long as you agree with them, you have nothing to worry about. You’re on their side
