North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Everyone being the caller? Or everyone being the obvious Knicks fans who likely chimed in afterward?

everyone in the studio behind the scenes. This is a good trade. The Nets suck and the last thing they want is to lose Williams for nothing. They can send Williams and their worst contract to the Knicks for Lin and Amare. The Nets would at least get a young point guard that will ensure, the stands at their new area are full beyond the first few games. Adding Amare would at least make them a .500 team and somewhat relavant. I don't have to even stay how good this would be for the Knicks. Moving Amare's contract is damn near impossible but adding Lin would definately sweeten the deal. Say what you will about Lin but his stock his high right now.

The worst contract on the Nets is Johan Petro at $3.5 mil next season. Getting Amare back in a trade makes it easily worse than Petro's. The Nets would actually be eating up cap space while bending over for the Knicks. In what way is that remotely a good idea from the Nets' side?

The Nets had Deron Williams and couldn't sell 25 cent seats on Stub Hub. If the Nets aren't winning, nobody in this city will go to games, even for Jeremy Lin. NYC offers too much shyt to do for that kind of shyt to work. If New Yorkers wanna see Chinese people play basketball, they can always head to Lower Manhattan and stumble onto a basketball court.

Know what else can make BK relevant? Keeping Deron Williams and surrounding him with good players. They can win that way too.

I don't have to even stay how good this would be for the Knicks.

Which is exactly why Brooklyn wouldn't do it.

Or maybe... just maybe... in the event that Deron Williams left to go somewhere else, maybe they just put pressure on the Knicks to match a long term deal for Lin. See, BK can offer a deal to Lin. NY can't offer a deal to Deron Williams. Because of this, why assist NY in getting D-Will? If the Nets lose D-Will, they're not gonna win. They're not gonna fill seats. At that point, rebuilding from the ground up might be the most realistic option as opposed to taking on Amar'e's contract just to have the whole Sunset Park reppin' at Barclays.

Terrible trade for BK. Amare is negative value because of his contract, especially for a team trying to build something.

SMH - Lin raised the the value of MSG (no racist) 10% during Linsanity.

That's a $227,000,000 increase in value. Yeah the'll prolly let him walk over the MLE ..:rudy:
