It's really amazing watching it again. When I first saw it a few months ago, it didn't really hit me like it did just now. When I saw it this time, I took in to account everything his character has been through since day 1 of the first episode. I really tried to put myself in his shoes and I honestly couldn't imagine what kind of person I would be like if I had to go through all of that. The writers did an exellent job crafting this speech because I felt like he was not only talking to the group, but the entire Walking Dead audience as well. We at home and the group have watched all of this unfold from a sheltered, safe perspective. We know what's going on, but don't know the first thing about really surviving.
What Maggie said was also important too. They should want to be apart of that group and breaking up Rick's group would be a shame in what's left of the world. There aren't many people who stick together and stick up for each other that have survived and managed to stay together.
I may be rambling a bit, but it really was enlightening watching this episode again. For some reason, there were more things revealed to me watching it this time around then when I watched it awhile back. Thoughts?
