someone retweeted a video clip, it might have been total divas or bellas but it had Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon in the ring.

it made me realize that I hadn't watched this year's Wrestlemania. I've watched every Wrestlemania since WM 13(1997) either live or that night. yet, this one not only did I not watch, I didn't even bother to download it.

this thread was just for me really, I was surprised by the revelation and this it the only place I ever talk about wrestling. go fukk your mother.

I sat out this year and last year too. Wish I sat out the year before and I worked the night of for 31. It’s arguably the worst show they do every year since it’s so lazy and formulaic. All the old guys get their shine regardless of if it makes sense for them to be there, the new guys feel out of place and all over the place since nobody properly moves up the card, and the main event always sucks for some reason or another, usually since it’s Roman headlining in a match nobody wants or before that was Cena going on last when the title should close the show or him getting his win back that he didn’t need. Honestly from 25 onward the only ones I enjoyed were 26, 28, and 30. I’d argue that their lazy style of booking hurts Wrestlemania even more than any other event.

All of this. WrestleMania is the biggest show of the year that they spend months preparing for, so when you apply their current creative process to a show like that, you get something that falls way below expectations.

Just like last year, the first half was pretty decent with some genuinely entertaining moments, and then sometime after 9:00, it just fell off a cliff. The whole thing with Cena and The Undertaker was absolutely stupid with an ending we all saw coming, nobody cared that Nia Jax won the belt, the WWE Championship match was mediocre compared to all the "dream match" hype it was getting, Braun winning the tag titles with that kid almost made me want to vomit, and the main event was as bad as you can make a WrestleMania main event, with a finish that didn't do anything for anybody.

Not to mention other shyt like two of the best matches going on in the first hour, a SD tag title match that only lasted six minutes, and Asuka losing her first match by tapping out, then being forced to cut a promo right after about how great Charlotte is. I still haven't seen the mixed tag match, but the fact that people were looking at it as the best match of the show is a problem to me.

Only thing I disagree with is the Cena build:whoa:

I think we all knew the match was gonna happen but the squash was surprising and the fukkery of thirsty Cena was great :bryan:

But yeah I might sit this year out too tbh, doesn't feel like remotely anything interesting is in the cards. Nobody new being pushed , no new feuds, no fukkery I'll pass

Worst WM in at least 10 years.
I think the 33 one was worst. That one had nothing special about it but Hardyz returning.

Least 34 had Bryan returning and the Ronda era beginning.

But yeah, this year was real average. I wouldn't call it bad but it was just sort of...there. Like, it happened. And that's it. LOL. I got a great show at WM30 though so I wasn't tripping that 34 was simply decent at best.
