lmao this move makes NO sense. silver has two options:
- keep the MVP a regular season award and risk giving it to a nikka who getsin the 2nd round or some shyt. other users have done a pretty good job of explaining how that could be awkward, especially if the MVP winner's teammates let him down
- factor in playoffs/finals performances into the award. but if they did that, the MVP would become redundant because they'd HAVE to give it to the best player on the championship team. except they already got an award for that shyt: finals mvp
