Did you catch the plant before they revealed Walt poisoned Brock? They show it in ep 12 of season 4:



He spins the gun 3 times. 2 times it point to himself....like God saying "murk yourself, before more innocent people die"....3rd time it points to the plant. That's when he gets the idea to poison Brock.

And you might know this, but he gets the name "Heisenberg" from Werner Heisenberg, a Nazi scientist that died from cancer:
