Great scene, classic monologue. I prefer the scene at the bridge at night and the scene where he kills Kurtz though.
GOAT movie, the visuals/music create a mood and atmosphere that absorbs you more than anything I've seen.

I just got to this scene on this rewatch. i copped 'The Final Cut' which seems to extend act 1 pretty significantly IIRC from my last watch...extending the beach campaign scene...this truly is the best War scene ever. 1942, The longest day, and Platoon have some incredible ones but this is IT fr.
Duvall is an absolute madman in this...truly a GOAT actor.
Is 'The Final Cut' the best version of the movie?
