I understand that muammar gaddafi wasn't an angel but was he really the demon they portrayed him to be in this episode? Its crazy because the words are coming right from the citizens mouth in the video but in the comments section you see people from Libya speaking on how organized the country was when gaddafi ran the show :wtf: Is it oo chie wally wally or is it one mic?

I think the top comment says something like they may have had one black out when Gaddafi was in power but now they get like 7 a day. :lupe:

Also, I saw a few black folks in the streets but are there hardly any black people in Libya? Pardon my ignorance but I thought I would see more black folks.

Dope documentary. I didn't know much about the country or the situation other than what the news showed. Good to see its not another Afghanistan and that NATO intervention helped the majority of people there.

People in countries that have long dictatorship s often struggle to advance after their fall and in this time people tend to get nostalgic about the past.

Change is hard... Egyptians are already like "maybe Mubarak wasn't that bad" :heh:

arabs don't give a sh1t about black ppl. the ones here might act like we on the same struggle but all of them arabs and jews come from a culture of hating black ppl. it's embedded in their culture just as bad if not worse as it is embedded in american culture. they were the first to enslave africans.

north african region has been taken over by arabs by killing and dispersing africans. gadafi's ppl are from the middle east. arabs dont like being called africans. they are wanna be europeans. they think they're white.
they just kind of respect black americans because of the american part and because niccas go to their place with money. but after moneys dry up black ppl are just ******s to them.

i think its hard to be properly informed about such a complex situation tbh. i dont blame him for that and i give him credit for going there in the first place. but that scene in the chicken restaurant was :mindblown: he actually equated liberty from a tyrant after a civil war with being able to eat fried chicken. that's some impermissible ignorance.

After watching it shows many things....

1. This is showing the side of Holidays and not regular days in Libya
2. No actually progression...no actually jobs, healthcare, housing, etc.
3. Where are the women minus the one girl?
4. No Black People were in these towns...
5. Alot of anti-Gaddafi moments brought up to fill up the boring shoot
6. Militias run the cities and not the government....government is useless
7. Not many people or areas were allowed to be shot on camera.
