Seriously, it's stupid.
If you take a still photo of someone running in the midst of a terrorist attack or some awful event, then yeah you can say, "Oh my, that person looks terrified/sad" whatever.... that's valid
But for example, everyone takes that one picture of 2Pac(when he's sitting in the car) on the night he was killed and tries to say, "Man, Pac knew he was about to die.....look at his face, he was so sad"

You don't know what he was doing. He could've been sitting there laughing just the split second before and then stopped for a moment when the pic was taken. Or maybe he didnt like ppl taking his picture at that moment.
Or maybe the camera caught him awkwardly. If you take multipe photos of someone even in a happy moment, you can catch one picture that doesn't convey the happiness. Or you can catch them in an awkward position, weird facial expression etc.
