that was a fun movie, it was supposed to be a silly space fantasy. One of those flicks where people started shytting on it so everyone piled on even people who never saw it. Some moves like John Carter just get a trash rap before they leave the starting gate.

John Carter was marked badly. That book is 100 years old and inspired superman. They should have pushed him as the first superhero.

I just watched this again first time in a long time. It held up really well except for special effects in a few scenes. Prime Rosario Dawson, Eddie with the swagger, I really like it. It’s modeled after 40s-50s era sci-fi, classic Buck Rogers etc. obviously not for everyone.
