I remember when x force was just coming out and they were big deal. Rob liefeld was the darling of the comic book industry and everyone had mutant fever. I even remember picking up the first appearance of Deadpool back in 1991 for like $12 or something. 20 years later Deadpool is everybody's favourite anti hero. I don't get it. So let me make this short:

  • Deadpool is nothing more than a bear copy of a death Joan Terminator DC character.
  • His creator real life it was a bizarre fluke in the comic book industry. Falafel is a guy with a very bizarre style of drawing that was unique but extremely flawed.
  • Rob almost every character wildlife it came up with complete rip off DC characters all characters from movies (Cable is a COMPLETE copy of Terminator)
I just don't get Deadpools popularity after all these years. I could see Gambit why Deadpool?

Yeah and thanos is a copy of darkseid characters change and his popularity comes from his humor. Damn you must not have read a comic since the 90s because pool has been popular for at least 10 years.

This is true. I start reading comic books for the most part about 1993

But the overall design of the characters still:shaq2:

What's his real appeal?

deadpool is dope, the movie version of deadpool.....eh not so much. He's just filled a toilet humor void that movies have been lacking but cartoon and tv shows have had an abundance of lately.

deadpool 2 was like an adult swim show.

For one rob art sucked and I realized that as I got older. I preferred Bagley, Lee and Michael Turner (rip)

And for comic book fans I think it is the continuity and community.

Doesn't a lot of it also have to do with how similar his outfit is to Spidey? So that alone draws in readers. Plus he's a fun character with ridiculous set of powers/skills/. His popularity really isn't that difficult to figure out.

Mark Bagley was a really good at this I liked his work. Jim lee was my favourite of all of them. Are Erik Larsen was pretty good as well
