I don’t rest for more than 1m30s between sets and I’m so full of adrenaline I can’t stand still. I see people shooting the breeze all the time before their next set. When people talk to me I give them one word answers and I feel like I’m gonna rip somebody’s head off if I don’t get back to work.

The shyt just baffles me.

Don't let them break your hyper focus
Nothing else is relevant :wow:

shyt It really just depends...sometimes I take long breaks in between sets sometimes I dont...the days when I don't I'm too tired to talk...but the days I take long breaks I'm usually too fatigued to talk also but I'm more likely to.

I do a power (3-5 rep sets), strength (5-8 rep sets), hypertrophy (10-15 rep sets) method...

The hypertrophy day I'm not saying anything at all fukk a talk.

The strength day is where im most likely to talk...

The power day is always the day I'm most fatigued.

IDK how some dudes do it. You see the dudes in their 40s standing hovering around the bench press talking for a good 20 minutes, not a single weight was lifted. :mjlol:

I'll talk to folks after I finish a workout, but I def don't have time to chat it up in between sets. I'm here to work lol

Worse is when they're hogging equipment and not doing any sets.

I'll do two exercises and come back to see the same two motherfukkers haven't moved in 20 minutes. :wtf:

Ive approach many doing this (mainly white boys) and ive told them straight out, yall wanna gossip then take that shyt to the steam room. Ive been waiting patiently to use this area and yall been here 10 mins shooting the shyt.

90% of the time they just walk away. Some times they appologize and get right to work. Those that do the latter i thank them.

Sometimes u gotta speak up to these types

This type of shyt is most wasteful. This is why when I’m in the squat rack I complete all my sets instead of move to another station.

Folks want to bang out one set then stand in there while their peoples stops to talk. Then theyre in there for 10 minutes before starting the next set.

Now when I tell them I need the rack they want to move and then stare and wait for me to finish. shyt don’t make sense.

A lot of people are there to socialize. They think just by being inside of the gym they'll get results. I be so locked in with my headphones on I start bobbing my head to the music sometimes when I see someone approaching in hopes that they'll get the hint and leave me be....it rarely works tho.

I'm a magnet to people for some reason. And like @k5banga said, I'm not a friendly looking mufukka either yet people stay approaching me asking me questions or giving me compliments. If I seen a dude that look like me in the gym I wouldn't say shyt to him.

1m30s is too long to rest between sets
