I don't expect ppl to agree but Wire season 4 was the only enjoyable season to me

Season 5 was like a sequel to Season 2, straight garbage, the only positive is that it tied up lose ends and brought closure

Sopranos overall >>>> Wire


Wire season 4 = Sopranos at it's very best tho, wouldn't even argue if someone said that single 4th season was better than every season of Sopranos

in retrospect season 4 was blah. it consisted of elections, kid issues and prop joe manipulating marlo to join the co-op. Omar robs the co-op and rides off into the sunset. no one of significance died in season 4.

season 1 was dope because it had way better story lines and it shoed the height of the barksdale.

season 2 to me is the most underrated because unlike barksdale and stansfield organizations, it showed how organized the greek were. it also showed how they evolved into the main connect. Ziggy's role was wack but other than that shyt was on point.

season 3 was the rise of stansfield and fall of barksdale. season 3 shyts on season 4 breh.

season 5 basically was a way to tie loose ends. kill off a major character, reassign/retire others and bring down another organization which was marlo's.

Season 2 aint shyt though, when you watch it back it's genius. Just takes some getting used to not seeing Avon etc as much as in Season 1.

I thought the 2nd season was pretty good.

I liked all the seasons except the 5th. But like others said, they were trying to bring closure with the 5th so if ur a fan of the show u need to watch it to see what happens to everyone.

The Wire was aight, I've always liked The Sopranos a lot better tho. I'm about to start watching The Shield, see if its any good.

I currently have no thoughts on the matter but I did recently buy the box set of all seasons on DVD, I was holding out on a Blu-ray set until I heard it's been said they'll never release it on Blu-ray. I hope to watch the whole series somewhat soon. Hoping the show is as good as everyone seems to think it is.
