I got very long legs, when I get low on squats my back leans over too much no matter how much I spread my legs out.

Been getting terrible back spasms when I go heavy . Debilitating spasms. I record my reps and watch my form. Leaning over that much is too much to handle

Massages barely help too

I hate to do this but I might stick to the punk ass leg press

Tuck in your belly button and force your legs to power your lifts

Not your back

When I get to parallel my back bends over for balance . My thigh bone is very long so when I sit back my butt is far from my feet throwing my balance off which is why my back has to lean forward to keep my body balanced. If I keep my back upright when I get that low I will risk falling backwards

Same problem.

Stop trying to go heavy
Build up your core (planks, overhead barbell squats )
Front squats, Front squats
Skip the traditional deadlift( use a trap or hex bar)

Stop trying to go heavy
Look up Lee Boyce, he has tips for tall lifters

u got to pull the slack outta the bar when ur deadlifting. so basically set up and pull a little bit, not hard enough to make the plates get off the ground. this gets ur hips down and back straight, like pulling you into the proper position. if u don't pull the slack out ur more at risk for fukkin up ur back

I have long legs too, I can't go as low as short people when I deadlift.
My back hunches over too, so I was told by a trainer just to bring the bar to below my knees then raise up.

I don't even try squats much, I seen too many people get back hernias and spinal stenosis. I just stick to leg press.

Sounds like excuses.

I have long legs...
...having long legs helps you on the DL.

You trying low bar or high bar squats?

Try low bar.

Try low bar.
Only if you can get your hips low enough.

Another question I have is why is important to max out a lift like DL?
