Of course it did get much better in Kai, but they seemed to have downgraded quality with dragon ball super.

Up until the end of the Namek Saga I need that Ocean Dub

After that I need the rest to be the Funi Dub with the Bruce Falconer music

The Original Dbz soundtrack was ASS idc what anyone says. Outside of maybe 4 or 5 tracks I couldn't take it. I remember all the nerds back in the day tried to clown me for liking the Bruce Falconer music. Foh. His music made the show that much more exciting.

You can clearly see which version sounds better especially considering the situation.

listen to the changes in dialogue. vegeta never offered goku a job. there was no legitimate reason for them to change what the scene was supposed to mean

This gets said a lot in retrospect, but in 1996, if Goku isn’t like this, I don’t think Dragonball Z takes off the way it does. I also think Super has gone overboard in the portrayal of Goku as a dumbass. He’s never been this stupid.

Goku thought a monkey was king kai at first. Goku thought marriage was a food. Goku was super scared of needles.

Goku was always a cheesy character. Super's portrayal of him isn't anything I'm mad about.

I’m gonna respectfully disagree. The difference between DBZ Kai and Super is so big. In Z, he was naive and goofy. Super is a caricature of that. They basically made him Junior Kyle.

English music was dope but my problem was they always felt the need to add music to a scene. Some scenes in Japanese were more powerful or tense when it was silent

The dub got a lot better over time but it really ruined a few moments, namely the goku ssj and the gohan ssj2 transformations. Then they did goofy shyt like adding Disturbed and Puddle of Mudd to the English versions of the movies
