maybe try Minish Cap...that might be more your pace.

but if you don't like one of the best zeldas...well then you might not just like classic top down zelda.

2d Zelda might not be for you. Try LA remake if you didn't or a link between worlds as that's a bit more modern. Or the Oracle series

i like link but hate every Zelda game ever made.
But I play them all day 1 anyway still.
I was impressed with botw and totk at certain parts tho

Agreed. I think the more modern approaches are probably his best bet if he didn't feel alttp. Most 2d Zelda's up to Minish cap follow that blueprint.

I don't relly liek 3D zeldas. I'll play them, but I'll take 2d/top down zelda any day of the week.

I've played LttP/Oracle/LA/etc more than MM, OoT, BotW, etc and I've stopped Tears just to replay oracle on Switch.
