I booked a flight and hotel to New Orleans for the end of July -- tips and advice?

I stayed at the Royal Sonesta this past mardi gras. Right on bourbon street. it was pretty nice. I would suggest it
I'm going with 2 college friends.
im bout that bourbon street life and im tryna try new foods and sightseeing and just experience that culture rich ass city
NO chicks are mad chill..but they talk really slow

its good to go and experience bourbon street but it is in reality tourist filled and dirty and you gotta watch out for pick pockets n shyt.

Hit up this club Voila 
to see hoes twerkin to New Orleans bounce music all night. I hit up this pretty popular spot called "Jacque imos" with my boy who lives down there. Def a NO staple but the food is great. Honestly, u can just wander around bourbon street n have a great time, that's what i did the first night i was there, yeah it's a tourist trap but so what? Everybodys in the same boat as u, u get fukked up beyond recognition, n it's damn near impossible not to meet some bytches. Also, theres a TON of strip clubs in walking distance from each other ( actually most bars double as strip clubs its crazy)....def hit up Little Darlings and Penthouse (ask for Jason when u hit the bar 
) ...Penthouse is hands down the illest strip club down there.Other than that walk around the city and see the sights, theres mad culture and histroy down there and if u just wanna take it easy there's plenty of jazz clubs and live music spots to hit...u can see great live music virtually everynight. New Orleans is one of the most underrated party cities i ever visited...put it like this, i went AFTER jazz fest during the middle of the week and my trip was still live as fukk. Plus some bars never closed! I remember ordering food at this one spot at like 7 in the morning, smoking a blunt in the backyard, and walking out to go home at like 9 in the morning feeling like a god damn vampire when i opened the front door and the sunlight hit me. They also got some casinos as well.....NO is official i can't wait to go back.

man thats one city i def gotta go back to. that shyt is way more live than vegas. Went there for an interview around 2008. Night after the interview i decided to investigate bourbon, stepped out and had me looking like 
shyt was packed, went into a couple of bars where they had bytches doing wet tee shirt contests and than twerking competitions
drunk bytches falling all over you, cheap drinks, and than po boys to finish off the night. All on a fukking week night. Cant imagine that life on the weekends or mardis gras.
