I Been Trying to Decipher Alot of Old RZA Beats

and there's one thing I have noticed that im sure ive heard in other instrumentals also. How comes Masta Killa and Meths verse is slightly audible in the instrumental version of this track, is there something RZA did for the vocal mix to improve the quality of the track or something?

I know ive heard this in other instrumental versions of tracks too but I just cant think of examples now?

I haven't listened but I don't think it's the official instrumental but the song with the vocals filtered out

they leave the backing/ad libs in there for a lot of instrumentals for some reason
