I AM WATCHING "THE BIBLE" AND ALTHOUGH...

I am thoroughly entertained by it (because the Bible is the only non-science book I have ever cared to read), I can't stop to shake my head at how ridiculous believing in Jesus as the Messiah truly is...

1) The people who wrote the books of the New Testament were scholars, so they obviously made up a about Jesus story to fulfill all the events about the Messiah that was written by the prophets...

2) For example, look at how similar the stories of Jesus and Moses are...Both were born at a time when some ruler decided to kill all the male babies, both of them took refuge among Egyptians...

3) The Bible writers simply ignore all the socioeconomic and political issues of the time, they make the Pharisees and Romans look like cruel and greedy people, but I doubt the real story is that black and white...

I can accept Jesus as a dude who had a philosophy that changed the way The Bible was suppose to be interpreted, but dude was no son of god...

Religion is either blatant ignorance or a powerful form of self-hypnosis similar to the idea of love...

i listened to it on audiobook & when it listed all the peoples' ages (so & so lived 875 years, his uncle lived 630) i started laughing

Oxygen levels were higher 10 thousand years ago, no processed foods and cleaner water also. So that's why people lived to be 600+ years in the bible.


The more polluted our society gets the less long people live

Its funny because life expectancy was like at most 30 years in those times. We had literally no knowledge of germs and sanitation

I've heard religious people state that they used different calenders back then and the years were shorter or sum sh1t.


if that's the case then they should figure out which calender's they used and revise the bible with their actual ages.

This makes sense. Ive honestly just come to accept religion as 'tradition' to people. Perception is reality I guess.

Stories were stolen from every damn civilization and culture at the time.
