The real Hercules, you see, is merely the brave, musclebound leader of a ragtag group of mercenaries with diverse backgrounds and skills — among them a business-minded flying-dagger expert (Rufus Sewell), a statuesque Amazon with sick archery skills (Ingrid Bolso Berdal), a mute, berserker-style lunatic (Aksel Hennie), and a spear-wielding soothsayer (Ian McShane).

They couldna said this shyt in the commercial:wtb:

They really did nothing to make you really feel the strength of Hercules up until the end,and even then it was nothing I didn't think The Rock himself couldn't do to some rusty azz chains and old azz statue TODAY at his size:mjlol:...Ive seen Booker T fly across the room farther selling a punch from the Rockthan what I saw in these action scenes....and the worst part was when you in the theatre and you realize all of the fight scenes where he's fighting great beast that they showed in the trailer, will last exactly as long as they lasted in the trailer, and will be shown in the first 2 minutes

They really gon wait til the end to tell you "he might just be some guy:manny:" Well I had my suspicions the whole time as I waited for him to do some extra strong shyt but thanks for confirmin it:comeon:go see movies outta boredom brehs:why:

It wasn't trash but it was mediocre as hell. Really reminded me of the first movie I ever saw The Rock in, The Scorpion King (I don't count that half-assed CGI bullshyt from The Mummy Returns, lol). A similar swords & sandals movie where five minutes after a scene has passed you've totally forgotten what had happened because it doesn't matter, he's Hercules and he punches people in the face, then they fight for ten minutes, talk some bullshyt, fight some more, nothing too insultingly bad happens, nothing too memorable either.

Although, one scene that stood out to me was the "I AM HERCULES!" scene. Hearing it in the trailers that whole speech and everything leading up towards it sounded corny as hell, but the way it played out in the movie was actually pretty dope, mostly because they didn't do something I'd expected and actually made the villains villainy as fukk. Like you already knew what they had done, but they just kept having these guys bask in it too. And then the irony happens of him proclaiming "I AM HERCULES!", only to become The Rock, WWE Superstar, and kick all their asses Monday Night Raw style. Like the only thing that was missing was a Stone Cold appearance, shyt was so fukking beautiful otherwise. :dead:

Yeah saw this today and I got no major complaints. Not great but not bad either, just right there in the middle. At most a 7/10, entertaining popcorn flick.

I would've liked if they made this Herc super strong like tossing dudes 20 feet in the air and shyt lol...but I sorta get the down to earth thing they were trying to do. That misleading trailer really fukked them imo.

No I don't think so. If they went the fantasy route then I could see that because it would make u wanna see 'what monster he'll battle next' or go deeper in the mythology or some shyt. But this was pretty generic story wise and like @TheGodling said it was somewhat forgettable. No real point in a sequel.

All in all it's a win for the Rock and his fans: he's getting good reviews for his performance, most audience and critics like it and it should make a profit at the box office overall. On to the next one.
