I need some suggestions for 5 day split routines. I have been doing PHAT since I have been lifting and am I little tired of it. My main concern is that for PHAT the body parts I excersize at the end of my upper body and back work outs are lacking because I am so tired I can't give them my all. I think if I do I 5 day split and do one body part a day I can get better results. Anyone doing one now?

What kind of goals do you have? Athletics, Aesthetics, Strength/Power lifting, Getting in shape, Competing, Strong Man, Military, etc?

You can drop some of the isolation's in PHAT for more compound movements so you have more energy to do the later lifts or you can arrange PHAT to fit your style and hit your weaknesses. PHAT isn't new or revolutionary its been around for years and Layne put a face/marketing behind it. He doesn't do it year round either so maybe you just need a break from it.

I haven't done a "5 day bro split" in years, and stopped doing PHAT about 8 months ago switching to upper/lower+1 type split. I can give you the outline to the PHAT routine I used to do if you want or suggest some other style of training if you want to try something different.

Full body upper/lower split

3 days upper 2 days lower

U can vary each day too. 1 power day, 1 hyper day, 1 accessory day. Im on this w/a 4 day split and loving it. The key is to figure out your balance between volume and recovery. I do 3 sets per exercise and 3 exercises for push/pull/shoulders each day. Been working great. If you can handle PHAT this should be a cakewalk.
