First of all I have been making music since 1997.

I don't produce for people...and i dont like to call myself a beatmaker...i have and will be an artist til the death.

I make house techno dub experimental trappy juke type stuff...

My thing is...even though my music may not reflect it...hip hop is the driving force behind it.

This track was just me experimenting with different rhythms and methods.

This is.me.on my footworkin shyt.

But yeah...i grew up in a very heavy musical family. Grew up playing all the instruments you can possibly think. My family played rnb, soca, reggae, soul, funk..then got into alternative punk.metal.

Electronica blew me away though in 1996/1997.

I discovered squarepusher, aphex twin, and autechre and i was more inspired to make music like that...

And the rest is history.

Eventually i am gonna make an influences mix for the board...just to show you what inspired me and the music i came up on

I always like to have a :dahell: approach to things like that. Where you hear a mix with some of my favorite stuff i grew up on (Marvin Gaye, The commodores, isley brothers, curtis mayfield, herbie hancock, miles davis, john coltrane) and then you hear my originals and you are kind of like...:dahell: damn...:wow:

I am inspired to do this from an autechre radio mix they did for 10 hours...had tracks from the gap band, tom tom club, davy dmx, and funkadelic. But listening to their very complex and extremely visceral type pf music it's hard to even connect those dots...but music is about interpretation for me. And creating things out of nowhere.

I'm in the process of working on my 30th album. Ive been working on it on and off since last year...but imma have to come correct and tell you that this is going to be the pinnacle of my career.

A double disc...utilizing everythng ive learned. Using maschine, ableton, virtual dj and acid pro to create something that reflects where im at musically now.
