I always thought Godfrey was gonna be the next big Black comedian

Several years ago, dude was popping up on alot of stuff, he was doing commercials, he was funny and appealed to both black and white audiences with his stand-up material.

Then it's like all of a sudden, he fell off & disappeared. Next time I heard him he'd cut all his hair off and something about him just didnt seem the same

I think the thing with Godfrey is he has the charisma, but I watched his special and was severely underwhelmed.

His jokes just aren't good enough to match his personality.

I saw him at the DC Improv couple weeks ago...he had me crying the entire time....specially when he was talking about reading DC parking signs
