My mom just got a new Sonata and it's pretty much maxed out with everything except for GPS, and she got the dealership down to like $21,000.

If I didnt have a pretty new vehicle myself, I'd definitely get a Elantra. You get over 40MPG, it has a nice style(unlike the Prius), and you can get one fully loaded for a little over $20,000 or so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jbm_RtutVaY

All that, plus Hyundai has that 100,000 mile warranty.

My only problem is that everyone and their mama is buying these cars, at least here in Dallas.

I've noticed this. They stepped their game up big time. I don't know about how well they run or anything, but that warranty is nice. I might even consider getting one when it's time to get a dependable grown-up car.

My mom bought like the very first Hyandai that came out bavk in the 80s. And I remember her saying it was always a good car. I dont think it ever failed to start.

So now she's back around to them again after buying a couple Fords, and GM's.

Far as I know the quality is good or better than most everything else

The only decent whip they got is the accord coupe. Nissan is stepping their game up with the new altima, and toyota got the mom/pop markets on lock; and hyundai is on the come up. If honda dont get their stuff together they might be on suzuki status in 10 years

Me and my boy were out Friday night, he's a big car head, and he was talking about how ugly the new Civic looked and then we saw one a few mins later.
