Which one gets you more excited about an album release?

Waiting those last few hours until a much-hyped album is about to be leaked and reading all the anticipation posts on a forum, then once the album leaks seeing a collection of :krs::gladbron::ohlawd:'s describing the dopeness of the album

or

The old school days where you would literally rush to the record store, buy the album, and then hurry home, bust the plastic open, crank the radio up and :ahh: in the comforts of your own home...

Which one y'all like the most?

For me, it depends on the artist. Different artists set you up for different expectations. If it is just something I'm expecting to play in the whip or workout to, then it's not a big deal to experience it from downloading. But, if it is a piece of art I expect to grow with me and ferment with age, I must have the original. I don't desire to spoil that feeling by being to quick to hear what the music sounds like. It's like the difference between getting a quickie from some chick, or an all night grind with a real woman.

To be honest I prefer to talk about the album with a bunch of people.

Also, you forgot to add the part where you run home, open up the cd, put it in and you only like one or two songs off the whole fukking album only to be stuck with your purchase because you already took the plastic wrap off.

Well now, seeing the polarizing reaction when an album leak, is exciting. But, still nothing compares to ripping the plastic off, and taking the difficult tape off a CD package.

It's the 90s kid in me :obama:

Buying was the best. You hear a song on MTV or the radio, get hype and wait for the album to come out, finally get to go buy it, and bump that shyt for weeks. Now with the internet, you got tracks from the albums leaking months before the album comes out, and by the the time the album comes out you've already heard half of it and its not new to you.

The internet has ruined the album experience for me. I know I could just choose not do download any songs that leak, but the temptation is too strong, especially once you see everybody on the net hyping up the songs.
