How would you get rid of the World Heavyweight title, storyline wise

Now that we have an all new WWE title, I think WWE is finally to moving forward towards a new Era and seeing how the brand split is pretty much dead, i think its time to get rid of the World title


I dont even want to see a Unification title match now. The contenders for the WWE title currently blow the world title contenders out the water




WWE title: Rock, Cena, Punk

World Title: ADR, Swagger, Dolph
and I dont wanna hear that the World title is good for the main eventers for the future, fukk that logic, those years are done





So how would you write the World Title out of the current WWE if you were a booker?

Unification is always an option... and probably the best. Any other idea would be pointless and do the belt a disservice.

I don't think it's a must that it gets dropped tho'. It should just stop being defended at the top of the show like it's the US/IC title. Before 2011, it was at least used in the middle of the show at the latest.

Just doesn't make sense that there are two World Champions. shyt even when they had "Raw Champion" and "Smackdown" Champion it was frustrating because the WHC was just so clearly one tier below the WWE Title.

Unifying it would work wonders for everyone, and would make the IC/US title instantly more important.

It's a good thing to have a secondary title that actually has appeal, they killed the IC title so the WHC has the prestige of being the champ of Smackdown.

But having 2 world titles gives prestige to both shows.

You can't run SD with the IC title being the centerpiece.

They don't have the depth of talent in the mid card to sell the IC title the same way guys used to

Nothing wrong with the WHC IMO. They just choose to let scrubs run with it for a quick build. Put that belt on Orton or Mean Mark and it's a big deal again. I'd even give Dazzler another run, he could make that work the same way Punk worked the WWE title, if not better.

THAT'S the belt they should be trying to have 6 month and year long reigns with

Why Can't the WWE champion just appear on RAW and SD! there should never be two world champions any ways. Especially since SD is treated like B-show. How is there prestige in being the second fiddle to the WWE champion and RAW?

Just call it what it is a money grab by the E. which is cool, but its partly the reason why there in the position that their in now. Having to rely on part timers like The Rock, and Brock to save Mania.

Brand Split's over, bruh... SD is just the second show now, where they kinda/sorta progress storylines, Cena's the only star that never appears on it, and there's rarely ever any major happenings.

At one time i thought they should get rid of the WHC belt. But then with the WWE title usually being held in higher regards and them looking like they are going back to the route of longer title reigns, than guys like Bryan, Swagger, Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, Sandow, Cesaro and the bunch wouldn't ever get a chance to hold a world title anytime soon. But if they were gonna really get rid of the split and have the champ appear on both shows i'd be ok with one title. But someway somehow the WHC title would have to be the main belt. That belt is just so epic and has a lot of history behind it. But i know Vince wouldn't do that since it wasn't originially his company's belt.
