How would you book Kevin Owens going forward?

Win or lose, getting the rub to main event Wrestlemania with Stone Cold is something WWE shouldn't waste.

So how would you book KO going forward?

Hard for him to go after the title when he's already done a lengthy feud with Roman and is still a heel.

I'd have him wreck shop the next few months, starting with Elias I guess. Just have him win most of his feuds and look like a complete bad ass leading up to Summerslam and have him challenge Brock. But he should slowly work his way up back into the main event scene by destroying the mid-card.

I know he's one of the guys who WWE likes to transition between main event and mid card at ease, but they gotta ride the momentum of the Stone Cold rub he just got and build up a great run for him, even if it doesn't include a world title run.

Going with someone you TRUST, and a good brawler is paramount over who needs "the rub". And guess what, EVERY WRESTLER EVER IN HISTORY NEEDS THE STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN RUB.

Next you use him to put over someone else who needs a boost (EZEKIEL), and then have him fued with whoever splits the titles with Reigns, or more likely, have him take the ic title and run with that for a while

Spot probably shoulda gone to LA Knight tbh. At least it's a talent people don't know as well and they could have used it to give him something - anything to crow about.

Proper heel would be running around saying they retired SCSA - which is technically true, even in a loss. Which is what Owens will eventually say, I guess. But it wasn't an accolade he needed. It was a thing they threw him so they could spite Punk and also make sure to keep him from going to AEW. But objectively, he shoulda been the last one to get that match, all-told. It does nothing for him. Less than nothing if he keeps using the stunner since it's just using a finish that beat you against other people. King cuck shyt.

Dude's basically doing glorified cosplay as it is - may as well do an E version of Lethal-Flair Let him get washed and then let him pretend that loss gave him the right to continue being a lite beer version of SCSA due to association.
My thinking was literally using this on someone - anyone - without an already established character to the majority of their audience. Someone who this can become a major part of their character and use it for extended heat. Hell, could use it for a pop down the line when they turn and get the legitimate torch-passing kinda thing.

Perfect world? I'd switch Theory and Owens' spots from WM. Owens works with McAfee - the promos would have been more fun if nothing else - and Theory (with Vince in tow) works with Austin. Would have done everyone involved better service - especially getting Theory some promo images in the ring with an AE guy if they really finna strap the rocket to him.

I completely get that, but Owens isn’t a bad talent and I like him. From a safety perspective, made total sense and he can carry someone like austin to a match.


But his booking has been all over place since he’s been on the main roster. It should of been Seth.

You don’t throw in LA Knight for STONE COLD’s WRESTLEMANIA return.

LA Knight has NO type of backing with the general audience or even a bit of the main WWE audience. It makes no sense from a storyline perspective and importantly, a business perspective.

I get your “give it to an up and comer wrestler” outlook but not all rubs are the same and every rub doesn’t have to go to a guy who is still finding his way in the WWE.
