If Carm, Meadow, and AJ, all die in a car accident between Season 1-Season 3 of The Sopranos how would Tony Soprano's life change?

Does he try to get re-married and have another family? He would be in his 40s so maybe he would be too old to get married and have children again. I guess he would be like Paulie and Uncle June and just be a bachelor the rest of his days.

Does he move into a smaller place or continue living in his McMansion? Now that it's just him and his family is gone does he move in a smaller place or just continue to live in the McMansion?

Does he become a more effective mob boss or does he become worse? With his family now dead he really doesn't have to do a balancing act between his family and "work" family. He would be dead on the inside though so maybe he would end up becoming a worse mob boss.

Does his depression get worse? Does he go ahead and try to commit that?

In terms of his spending habits, does he save more or spend more?
A lot of his money went to his family and providing for them. With them gone, what does he do with the extra money?

i dont think he would get remarried, just keep fukking eastern european whores

i think he would try to stay in the mcmansion, but eventually he would get depressed being reminded of his family and move out

he would become a lot more brutal as a boss, even more than he already is. idk about effective

his depression would of course get worse but he wouldnt attempt suicide

hed save a lot more money

tony as a relatively young boss would probably feel he has to get a new family and keep the house. that is an old patriarchal culture.

in terms of his mental state and performance as a boss, he probably gets less competent. mental illness isnt going to respond to massive tragedy well while actively engaged in a highly stressful criminal life.

He would basically become homicidal and somebody eventually kills him because he’s become even more out of control. Probably somebody within the crew is given a green light to get him out of there.

one of the main things that will happen is he will fukk Charmaine, and then later down he road Artie would still forgive him, cause he's a fukking loser like that

what I hope doesn't happen would be some sons of anarchy type shyt. where they die in a car accident, and Tony spends like 3 seasons trying to figure out who killed his family thinking it was New York or some shyt, but chase would never do that type of shyt

he also probably fukks Adriana, and we get the ending to Cleaver with Chrissy killing Tony over that shyt.

this wouldn't happen, but it would be funny to see Janice come to live with him in that crib. she was really the only person on the show to push his buttons like that. and he did the same shyt to her.

everybody else already talked about the depression shyt already

He further devolves into a man child, succumbing to his basest instincts. As annoying as we may have found his family, they were the only thing even somewhat making him a man.

How was he a man child? When I think of someone who is a man child I think of someone who still lives with his mother and can't take care of himself.

Tony had Mommy/Daddy issues and dealt with them by being a dude bro. Yes, a genuis, billionaire dude bro, but still.

Edit: I been drinking and thought we were talking about Tony Stark. I'll be back:francis:

He commits that for sure...

He was suicidal from season 1 just didn't want to admit it but definitely got better as the seasons went on...
Pretty much. If there’s anything that would drive Tone to suicidal lengths, it’s his family being gone.

Just got done rewatching S5 where he moves back in with Carm and AJ. Makes a toast later that evening at dinner to his family saying that nothing else matters. Doubt that’s the first time it’s been said in the show, but Tony would have nothing to live for if something fatal happened to his family.

I notice some folks hate on the household interactions, but family is such an important aspect to this show. During that same episode, which I believe was Long Term Parking, we see Chris watch a man walk out a gas station with his family and at this point, he’s just depressed that he won’t ever be able to live that life with Ade. Chris to Tony is an entirely different contrast in character, but it’s interesting how we got that scene right after Tony reunited with his family.

It got me thinking back to that car conversation they had in S1 where both playfully laughed off depression and the thought of contemplating suicide. Chris said he wasn’t a mental midget yet things got wild when shyt hit the fan with Ade. It also felt like Tone wouldn’t admit contemplating suicide out of the need to provide for his family and his pride. Well, I think losing one’s family is a pretty drastic hit to the ego. It’s rock bottom.
