Torry is only 36 and had been done for a few years before he retired. Ike is only 39 , also was done for years before he retired. I see nikkas like TO , Moss, and Driver still out there, dudes who had a more physical style of play. Torry and Ike never got hit, theyd slide before taking one. My only explanation is the turf.. but Randy played on turf for years, too.

Maybe they were actually smart with their money, mentally done with football and wanted to retire comfortably.

Possibly, I know ike always wanted to start a ministry. Its just crazy because the whole reason for them sliding and avoiding contact was to prolong their careers. Marshall was also done early, possibly rushed into retirement.

Im pretty sure he's saying there was no gradual decline. Yeah their primes lasted long but for guys who didn't take alot of contact their production just fell off a cliff. I think it was mainly because they relied on their quickness & once that went they didn't have anything else to get them by. Moss & TO are just physical freaks.
