Arabs conquest from the North exposed the natives to how compatible Islam was with their way of living and adopted it.

The African Islamic empires then spread Islam across much of West Africa and East African coast.

In the Horn, our ancient religious beliefs weren't extremely different from Islam. Our ancestors used to worship a deity called Waaq which was unseen. So the concept of an unimaginable, unseen creator of the universe was not that radical.

But the first Africans to make contact with Islam were the Abyssinian highlanders. Some of the companions and family members of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) fled persecution from Makkah to Abyssinia because the Abyssinian Negus was known for being a just man who protected the weak.

The Berbers today are part invader Arab so I don't see much evidence of adopting rather than just rape.

And the biggest Islamic people's we know of in Africa are also part Arab. This implies rape is the vehicle for Islam.

Ancient Horner beliefs are essentially ancient pagan Bantu/Nilo beliefs which are very different to Islamic zealot beliefs.

It may be the Abyssinian were first to contact Arabs or similar such people. That would explain why East Africa is so Islamic and has Eurasian ancestry.

nah Africans were introduced to Islam very early, while the Prophet was still alive

When the Quraysh (enemies of Muslims) learned that Muhammad's companions could safely practice their religion in Abyssinia (Ethiopia), they decided to send an embassy to the Negus to demand return of the fugitives. They selected two envoys and gave them gifts for the king and his generals (baṭāriqa). The Meccans appealed to the generals, arguing that the emigrants were "foolish youths" who invented a new religion the likes of which neither the Meccans nor the Abyssinians had heard of and that their relatives were asking for their return. The king granted them audience, but he refused to hand over people who had sought his protection until he heard their side of the story. :wowhand1:

The Muslims were brought in front of the Negus and his bishops. Ja‘far ibn Abī Tālib, who acted as the leader of the exiles, spoke in their defense. He described to the king how they lived before Islam, Muhammad's prophetic mission, and what he had taught them. He also spoke of the persecution they had faced at the hands of the Quraysh. The king asked if they had with them anything which had come from God. When Ja‘far confirmed, the king commanded him to read it. Ja‘far then recited a passage from the Surah of Mary. When the king heard it, he wept and exclaimed: "verily, this and what Jesus brought has come from the same source of light (miškāt)". He then affirmed that he would never give up the Muslims. :mjcry::wow:

However, one of the envoys, ‘Amr ibn al-‘As, thought of another tactic. On the following day he returned to the king and told him that the Muslims had said a dreadful thing about Jesus. :scust: :pacspit:

When the Muslims heard that the king summoned them again to question them about their view of Jesus, they tried to find a diplomatic answer, but finally decided to speak according to the revelation they had received. When the king addressed Ja‘far, he replied that they held Jesus to be "God's servant, His prophet, His spirit, and His word which He cast upon the virgin Mary". Upon hearing these words, the Negus declared that Jesus was indeed no more than what he had said. He turned to the Muslims and told them: "go, for you are safe in my country." He then returned the gifts to the envoys and dismissed them
:mjcryhandd:

When the Negus died "The Prophet informed his companions about the death of Negus (Najashi), the king of Abyssinia, the day that he died. And then the Prophet led them to the prayer ground where he lined them up and offered funeral prayer for him with four Takbirs"

Bantus are recent arrivals to the Horn. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Depends on WHICH area of Africa you are talking about. Much of Northwest Africa and Berbers were introduced to Islam via conquest. The Egyptians were introduced to Islam because they invited the Arabs in to get rid of the Byzantine Empire. The Southeast Bantus were introduced to it via trade and slavery.

Sudan it was through marriage due to a failed invasion. And finally West Africa strictly Islam but later conquest by OTHER Muslim West Africans. Its complex.

Can you please stop spamming your ridiculous nonsense on the section? I'm getting tired of it. Do on the damn TLR but NOT here.

Bantus are RECENT to the Horn and Horners had their OWN belief systems independent of Nilotics. Get this silly true negroid supremacy you got going on out of here.
