How was seeing 'The Dark Knight' in theaters.

When 'The Dark Knight' came out I was overseas in Iraq and was unable to see the movie in theaters. I was told I missed out on a great overall movie going experience breh's. People who saw it in theaters, especially opening night, reference it as a moment. Crowd reactions! Seeing it in IMAX! The buzz that was around after the movie ended and the crowds let out.

Are they overreaching here? Or did I truly miss out on a great movie going experience?

it was a good time. you definitely missed out on it if you didn't get a chance to catch it in theaters, imax or not. there was so much hype leading up to the movie and it delivered.

word...like i said in the other thread...sh!t was not that good to me...imo BB & TDK were better...but kats is actin like this one was the equivalent of drinkin vampires blood or some sh!t...it wasn't an experience...it wasn't epic...i saw it in imax and its was ok....would never go to see it again..and I don't want to even download it....

edit: just realized the OP was talkin bout the 2nd DK movie...that one was great....my comment above was strictly for TDKR...

if you feel that way you may as well watch it on an iphone, breh.

some people dont appreciate all the details of a movie like that and thats cool but for people who pay attention to that shyt Nolan is on another level with the detail he puts into every visual aspect of a film. And when you watch it in a real IMAX theater (not the fake shyt) the resolution, frame dimension and colors definitely add to the experience

lol don't get me wrong, I think watching it in IMAX is dope as fukk. I had my people with me and we were all hype, thought the movie was ill.


but with that said, ya'll be acting like seeing an IMAX film is equivalent to going 200 miles per hour in a Delorean. I mean, this whole thread is based on a dude feeling like he missed out on some revolutionary million man march shyt because he didn't see TDK in theater. It really wasn't that special bro. its was like every other movie experience.

It was incredible. I've never been so blown away by a movie experience before. Heath Ledgers performance was legendary. I saw it again the very next day, and I never go see movies a second time in theaters.
