I don't even know if I can should or wnat to finish this. This is fukking disgusting and not compelling enough to enjoy. Its just GROSS. A movie about shyt AND VOMIT, somehow won CANNES and got an ACADEMY AWARD BEST PICTURE NOM. I went into this movie blind and I want my $5.99 back. fukk THIS.

And i GET IT. I get the juxtifacation of the marxist captain with the supreme bugoise who is indifferent as they get covered in shyt and vomit-

For a while I got into somewhat of a bad habit of watching movies with high ratings and reviews. I only did it because I ran out of movies to watch.

So I would see things that normally wouldn’t interest me. Now sometimes it works out.

But more often that not I catch myself saying “why am I watching this? I’m not enjoying it”

Yeah I sometimes talk to myself. Not out loud. In my head. fukk off.

Anyway, I’ve started being more specific in what I choose to watch. Maybe you should too.

The movie was fine. Thought it was a nice little popcorn movie that drags a little in the middle but overall was a decent watch. I think people tried to make it deeper than it was though. That beautiful south african actress was fine as shyt during the dinner scene. RIP.

the vomit was like the smallest part of the movie. they honestly should've explored that whole "rich people being disgusting" part more in my opinion.

The pacing in general is what i feel may turn people off of the movie. I had a good time though.

they literally got raided by pirates and believed to be stranded breh.. exploring the island wasn't a priority. they were surviving off graham crackers and lust. its hierachy of needs which plays into the triangle. They also probably didnt wanna find out whatever savagery may be out there with their limited resources.

Bad movie.

Saw in theaters, and was on a full like natural high that day, like just in that flow state, everything perfect, thought why don't I just end this perfect day on an even better high, lets take it up, and go see an incredible indie movie, like Parasite, Palm D'Or, all this shyt, and about 30 minutes, I am like this is bad.

It loses it's way in the first 15, from some decent social commentary, and analysis, class-related humor, and gets very obvious, very heavy handed, that terrible and very Euro blend of not being funny, and not being serious. I liked The Square, but it wasn't brilliant. This had uneven pacing, just on the nose and obvious themes, it was like a drunken lecture from some 24 year old in the Lower East Side who is reading a lot of socialist manifestos.

These type of movies are up my alley also, but I didn't like this particular movie. It's a very intelligent movie but the pacing was off. It felt like some scenes dragged on forever.
