Im talkin long term, not that one hot month

ive made about 200 beats in the last 7 months, which is when i just started

i make more and more beats everyday so by the end of 2014 ill probably have about 500 beats, in a year

anyone topping those numbers? Im talking actually complete beats that are atleast decent, not just ideas or incomplete tracks

200 beats in 7 months alot ? Stop. 15 beats a session/day(skeleton tracks). 7 days a week + 12 hrs work daily.
Step it up.. Got about 500 in Fileblaze, couple hundred sessions on the Ipod(using as a Hd) and all the refills on the Ipod so the stu is wherever the Mac is.
Make those connects. Beats without Hooks don't go far. I dealt with many an artist saying "the beats hot but i need the hook and lyrics"... Twilight zone.

that's cool and all man, you can ask around I prolly dropped 100-150 beats last year. Prolly made 200-250.

I'd say they're almost all listenable except a few of those vault ones I put up.

@producingfire makes a lot too.

I got a full time job and a 6 month old though. I've been focusing a lil more.

Edit: Do you use an Andromeda?

I normally knock out 20 beats a month. All mixed and ready to go.

I work about 50 hours a week so most of my off time is usually dedicated to my g/f or making beats. I'm also one of those producers who can't make beats in like 10-20 minutes. I :salute: those who can but It'd take me anywhere between an hour-3 hours making a beat to full completion.

If you have a full time and raising a family not to mention other obligations then outputting an enormous amount of beats is no good. Not to mention mixing and mastering your beats. Quality over Quantity.:salute:

Same here, no way I'm making a complete beat in 10 minutes. Finding the right sounds/samples and arrangement/levels, creating transitions, exporting tracks, panning, Eqing etc all take longer than 10 minutes

Me too Akh. Raising a family, taking care of my house, religious obligations , etc cut into my production output. Instead of outputting so many beats, I put more energy into perfecting the ones I do. I didn't even mention the amount of time it takes to upload beats online and fill out descriptions and social media posts, plus emailing beats to artists, networking etc all cut into the time.

Sometimes just picking the right sounds/samples can take a long time. Then having to EQ, layer, add effects to the sounds. It can take a min. but fukk it I love doing it. No better feeling that after you finished a beat and blasting it like :blessed:
