How patient or impatient are you to a trash or potentially trash movie/show

My patience for wack movies or show wears thin the older I get.
If a movie or show doesn't catch my attention within the first 20 minutes, it's getting the treatment regardless of the reviews/hype. And there are wa lot of trash ones nowadays

im pretty good at just avoiding things im sure i wont like, so i dont have to test my patience too much. however, when channel surfing or blind buying blu rays, if it looks like the production values are really high, i might wait 20 minutes or more, but on average looking stuff, they get about 10 minutes to show me something

depends on the situation ...

if I'm solo watching a movie I'll give it 20 min .. if its a tv show I'll watch first episode or 2 (if its 30 min sitcom .. the 45 min sitcoms get dropped)

if I'm with fam like during the holidays we'll watch the whole thing basically cuz we trolling and heckling the movie or show for entertainment

if I'm with my girl on some Netflix and chill type stuff Ima just start playing with her when the movie or show get boring or hits a slow point

TV with short episodes get a pass, because at least you're not dragging it out. With other things I'm pretty selective/investigative before I just dive into a show so if I got that far I'll give it my best to honor the effort put into it.

Last show I gave up on was Schits Creek lol. Now that show the OA...I regret not giving up on that shyt.
