Years back, I had plans to do Pro Wrestling, MMA & BJJ, but I put it on the back burner. Also, in my area there was a trainer by the name of Mark Fleming who I contacted about training :snoop: He said he wasn't doing it right now. Granted, I'm only 22, but I'm in okay shape. So, how old would you consider too old?

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
You're too old if you're thinking of fighting professionally, not unless you want to be like this dude -

You'd be fighting against people who have mostly trained their lives to body you.

I heard of this dude before :heh: Most people think he should call it quits and have his Boxing license taken. See, I just wanted to do MMA, Pro Wrestling, and BJJ.

if you're doing muay thay in thailand yeah, otherwise especially in MMA I don't think there's anything wrong with starting at 22.

Assuming you're not slow to pick up on things and are willing to train hard, you can probably get decent in a year or two.
There's no harm in at least starting casually to see how you do, that'll tell you more than anyone on online boards can breh :yeshrug:

sergio martinez started boxing at age 20:manny:.....then again he's an anomaly and was naturally blessed with crazy athleticism. makes you think about great he could have been if he started as a kid. maybe you could be that rare breed:yeshrug:....in mma you'd have a much better chance. a lot of them dudes got started in their early 20's and went on to become solid pro's. but in boxing that shyt is rare as hell. most of these elite fighters been doing this shyt since they were pre-teens. it's all they know.

With MMA there's really no age limitation on when you should start as long as your athletic, in good shape, have a strong work ethic, and go into it with realistic expectations. If you think you're going to become a UFC champion or even an elite fighter then you're going to be disappointed, unless you're an athletic freak. But if you just want to have fun with the sport and have some local success then that's attainable at your level. I've trained with dudes that started in their mid-20s and later that have done well for themselves in the sport.

If you are planning on doing MMA 22 is just fine... think of guys like Brendan Schaub, middle of the road college football player who made a transition cause they were athletic. A bunch of these type of guys. Just NOT boxing because the skillset is so limited/technical you'll already be at a massive disadvantage.

All these MMA super-phenoms are still rare enough that you wont be at a disadvantage against any average joe.
