I don't think it hinders me, just need to be extra vigilant if in a high risk environment e.g. travelling alone, walking on a quiet part of the street after dark, consuming beverages that have been pre-opened, maintaining personal space on crowded trains, being aware of the line between polite interaction with a male to giving mixed signals to being too harsh when turning him down....
Maybe some of these things guys don't have to think about but if you grow up doing it it's no big deal, we've had lots of practice. We'd probably notice the difference if we lived as a guy for a day and didn't have to think about it at all.
Actually....Having short hair all the time! Can't do that as a female and wouldn't want to. Not wearing makeup! Ageing (somehow a 50 year old man who's physically fit is a silver fox but a woman is just old!), having kids really late (there is a timer on these eggs), not having to shave/wax/thread...okay that is definitely something that being a woman hinders me from doing, it seems wrong not to but if I were a guy hair on my legs would be as it was meant to be
Culturally, having an active social life that includes nights out in the town. Not sure I would actually do that if I were a guy but upbringing hinders me as a female.
