How often do y'all take a week off for recovery/recharge?

I never took a week off on purpose but read that it is recommended every now and then for the body to recoup ... any of y'all do it? like not deload, but stop lifting in general for a week?

i work out 4 times a week. ill usually skip one of my workouts ever 2-3 weeks and ill take 5-7 straight days off once every 6-8 weeks

My recharge is Saturday and Sunday brethren fukk is a week :what:

even when im sick tend to favor going to the gym.

For one taking that week off while sick just multiplies the losses.

And two, working out when sick, I feel better. Clears my head and sinuses.

I dont take a week off. But ill take a week and do nothing but calistenics,running and swimming. i wont touch any weights that week. Come back after that week and be feeling strong as shyt!

more than a week off and my lifts suffer

i always think my energy in the gym is generally dependent on nutrition and sleep(moreso sleep)

alot of people underestimate the power of consistent rest
